About

Using various media, Elektra Fischer explores the themes of gender, mental health, and rebirth utilizing what they learned from their upbringing in NYC. After graduating from Saint Ann’s School in 2018 they attended Reed College for a mere semester before leaving to begin a journey of self-discovery.

While taking time off Elektra was able to come into their own. They sought help for various mental health struggles that they have dealt with their entire life, but along the way they were able to begin answering questions that had been plaguing them. Questions that lead to the beginnings of them understanding their identity and their passions. This renewed sense-of-self propelled them to unprecedented growth. They entered into their own renaissance.

Elektra is currently hard at work at Parsons School of Design. They have yet to declare a major because of how Elektra loves numerous media. Exploring film, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, writing, and digital media as various outlets of their creative expression. They do not allow any constraints to hold them back from telling their story.

Elektra has also been keeping busy by working for Colin Beavan (author of the 2009 sensation No Impact Man) as his personal assistant, and social media manager, but is looking to expand their talents to other fields.
